Freelancing - The Key to a Balanced and Rewarding Career

If you’ve been working in a full-time job for a while, it’s likely that the thought of freelancing has crossed your mind. It’s certainly something that interests many people, and it’s a way of work that appeals to those who want freedom, control, and the ability to call their own shots. But it’s important to consider the pros and cons of freelancing before deciding whether or not it’s the right career choice for you.

As a freelancer, you get to decide which clients or projects you want to take on and how much you’re going to charge for them. This gives you the opportunity to work on things that interest you and can even provide more money than a traditional job.

However, this also means that you’ll have to find ways to balance your work and personal life. This can be difficult, especially when you’re not getting paid by a company or have to deal with uncooperative clients.

The lack of benefits can be a big drawback, as can the instability of freelancing. You’ll be in charge of contracts, legal issues, accounting, and marketing – which can be a lot to handle, particularly for those who are new to the field. It’s also important to note that you won’t have a safety net like a regular job, so you must be financially prepared to face the risk of a dry spell or the loss of a client.

Some freelancers choose to publish their prices online, which can help weed out potential clients who can’t afford them. Others choose to keep their rates private, which allows them the flexibility to change them as they see fit. In either case, a successful freelancer should have an idea of how much they’re willing to charge for their services and know that there is a market for them.

In addition to keeping a balance between work and personal life, it’s vital to develop and maintain a strong relationship with each client. This means being punctual, responsive and providing quality work that will earn you repeat business and referrals. It’s also a good idea to make use of any time-saving tricks you may have, such as saving design templates and finding ways to automate repetitive tasks.

The best advice for those considering freelancing is to research the companies they’re interested in working for and reach out to someone who works there on a full-time basis or has done so in the past as a freelancer.

This will give them the insider perspective that will help them determine if it’s an ideal fit for them. And most importantly, it will help them understand what the experience of freelancing is really like so they can avoid any major surprises down the road.

Freelancers can be very helpful for entrepreneurs who are running their own businesses.  Running a business is a lot of work, and has a lot of moving parts and different roles that need to be filled.  While you may be good at some of the parts of your business, you may not be as good at other parts.  For example, if you are a marketer, you may find that you enjoy doing product research, designing your website and setting up your landing pages, and sales funnels, but you may not be as good at writing copy or articles for your website.  Or visa versa, maybe you love to write, but hate doing the research, or designing your website.   In these situations, its great to have the option to hire a freelancer.  There are many freelancer websites and marketplaces to choose from when you are searching for a freelancer.  You can "shop" for freelancers based on their descriptions of what services they provide, and how much they charge for those services.

It's important to do your research, and make sure that you are hiring freelancers from a professional freelancing site to ensure that you are getting a real and professional freelancer, who has been verified by the site as being trustworthy to be hired.  In addition, it's always a good practice to ask to see a portfolio of the freelancers work, if they don't already have one provided on their profile.  Before you decide to hire a freelancer, make sure that you have communicated with them enough to understand what you can expect to receive from them for the price that you will be paying, when you can expect the work to be completed, and if there are any revisions included in the price, in case you aren't happy with what they provide you upon the inital completion.  Moreover, after you hire a freelancer, make sure that you thoroughly communicate what you would like them to do, and provide clear and concise expectations of what you expect of the project, to avoid any miscommunication problems or potential dissatisfaction with the work completed.  Lastly, always keep your communications with the freelancer, and all payment transactions, within the site that you used to find the freelancer.  This protects both you, and the freelancer, from any problems that could occur from working in a private setting, where the risk of fraud, or any other number of problems is more likely.

In conclusion, freelancers are a great tool for entrepreneurs to utilize in running your business, they can save you time, complete work for you that you may not be as adept at completing, or simply don't have the time or desire to,  and at a much less expensive solution than hiring someone full or part time to work for you.  As long as you do your research, follow good practices at using freelancer marketplaces for assurance and oversight, and clearly communicate prices and expectations with your freelancer, they can be an awesome tool for managing the multiple roles and responsibilities involved in running your own business.

Sales Funnels

What are sales funnels an d how do they help you find your ideal customers and grow your sales?

My name is Rachel, and I am an Entrepreneur and Spirituality/Manifestation Coach. My mission is to help people who are tired of living a mundane, and inauthentic life spent trading their time for money, and struggling to make ends meet. I was once a  broke single mom, barely scraping by, and working dead end jobs I hated! I was feeling unfulfilled, trapped, and wondering how I would ever be able to provide and give my kids the life they deserved, while still being able to be a part of it. I knew that I was not ready to accept a life of lack and scarcity, and there had to be a better way. If I wanted to change my situation and have the kind of fulfilling, abundant life I knew my children and I deserved, then I needed to figure out a way, to change the trajectory of my life.  I kept hearing the quote from Warren Buffet in my head, "If you don't find a way to make money in your sleep, then you'll work until you die." That’s when I began searching for ways to make money online, and spent the next 2 years on a journey of trying almost everything you can think of to crack the code of how to make passive income.  I failed a lot and cried myself to sleep many nights. My family kept telling me it wasn't going to work, and I just needed to go back to getting an hourly job, but I'm not a quitter, and I wouldn't give up!  I finally found a mentor to help me and was able to build my successful business. This website is to help people like me to avoid the mistakes I made, and get it right the first time!  This site details the process I went through and the tools I used, in order to finally manifest the life of my dreams!
